 I had a unique experience of sending my oldest child to one preschool and my youngest child to Shepherd's Flock Preschool. The comparison in the level of skill each daughter entered kindergarten with is a bit shocking. My youngest daughter attended Shepherd's Flock Preschool and was extremely prepared for the now rigorous standards kindergartners are held to. The facility, teaching, and focus on academics rather than simply socialization has been detrimental to my daughter's success this year in kindergarten.
