Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This week at Preschool we celebrated St.
Patrick’s Day…
there was plenty of green, rainbows, and talks of leprechauns and their gold! Take a look at some of the fun things that we
did centered on our lucky theme.
Green milk shakes!
No St. Patrick’s Day would be complete without green milk shakes and
Lucky Charms! The students loved this
snack…
In fact, it is something we need to do more often!
Rainbows… We fingered painted
rainbows leading to a pot of gold that says “I’m worth more than gold to God!” These turned out so cute! We have them hanging in our back hallway and
by the cubbies as well. (A finished
picture will be uploaded soon!)
It’s a LEPRECHAUN! How cute are these little guys? The students loved cutting out the beards and
creating faces. Personally, I enjoyed
asking the students where they would hide their gold because the end of the
rainbow is just too easy to find. Some
of my favorite places included “In my oven and microwave,” “in my underwear,” “on
top of my brothers bed,” and “under my hat.”
Just too funny to hear the creative ways the students would hide their
gold!
We began telling the Easter Story during Chapel and
Jesus Time. To go along with that we did
a few projects. First, the students cut
out palm trees after discussing Palm Sunday.
And we had to have a Palm Parade around the room singing “Hosanna” to
our King Jesus. Second, we did a project
that centered on communion and the Last Supper.
We talked about how Jesus’ blood was poured out for our sins and for the
forgiveness of them. What a wonderful
gift to receive!
