Chapel Offerings

For the month of December we collected chapel offering for families in CT at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. This was donated to them through Lutheran Church Charities.  We collected $30.24 to send to them.  

For February we are going to be collecting money for a church member whose ex-husband took his own life.  She is left with 3 children and the money collected will help her pay for them to attend a Christian Preschool.

 

A Few Reminders

Valentine’s Day is coming up fast!  If you signed up to help with the party, please see your child’s teacher so that we can begin planning the party. 

We had a fantastic time visiting Raceway Pizza last month.  I know that the kids really enjoyed it because they loved telling us all about it when we got back in the classroom!

Scholastic Book orders are due on February 25th.  Don’t forget to use your $5 gift certificates…This is the last month to be able to use them!  The book order forms will be in the cubbies this next week.

We are still collecting pop tabs and Campbell’s Labels (did you know that Campbell’s Labels are on Goldfish and Glad bags?!?!)  Please keep bringing them into the preschool and putting them in the collection bins. 

Important –If your child wears snow boots to school, please bring them an extra pair of gym shoes to change into.  When we are in the gym, the rubber on the boots makes black marks on the floor and are difficult to clean up.  Plus it isn’t much fun to wear them inside all day and try to run in them as well.  If your child does not have extra shoes, they will have to sit out during our gym time, which would not make them happy!  Thank you so much for your help with this!
